Sails Handling
COURSE DETAILS
Learn about the specific sails used for sailing downwind.
The course offers a combination of theoretical and practical learning aboard a boat equipped with a Marconi rig.
During the training, we will focus on the following concepts: the boat's general rigging, the types of headsails, such as the Gennaker, Spinnaker, or Code 0, and their handling and trimming. We will delve into techniques for setting emergency or makeshift rigs, as well as performing advanced maneuvers.
The classes will be held aboard one of our club's sailboats, fast and stable boats that offer comfortable and easy sailing in all conditions (Beneteau Platu 25).
REQUIRED LEVEL
Once you have mastered the basic skills of trimming and rigging, you will be ready to make the most of our sail trimming course.
RECOMMENDATIONS
We recommend wearing comfortable, breathable clothing. Choose clothing appropriate for the weather conditions. Wear closed-toe shoes with white soles. (More information in the Frequently Asked Questions)

Do I need prior experience or qualifications?
No qualifications or prior experience are required. We cater to all levels.
What does the course include?
The courses include food and educational materials. A few days before, we will send you an email with everything you need.
What clothes do I need to bring?
Comfortable, breathable clothing and, depending on the season, warm clothing such as a windbreaker, hat, or gloves. Closed-toe shoes with white soles and, if possible, non-slip soles.
What if the weather is bad?
If the weather forecast is poor 24 hours before the course (rain, wind, or sea conditions), we will propose a new date.
Can I cancel my spot?
Yes. Let us know at least one week in advance and we will refund you 100%.
Do I have to be a Club member?
No, the courses are open to the general public. Our club members receive exclusive discounts.
