COURSE DETAILS
Learn about specific sails for sailing in downwind winds.
The course offers a combination of theoretical and practical learning on board a Marconi-rigged vessel.
During the training we will focus on the following concepts: the general rigging of the boat, the types of headsails, such as the Gennaker, the Spinnaker or the Code 0, and their maneuvers and trim. We will delve into the techniques for carrying out emergency or makeshift rigging, as well as the performance of advanced maneuvers.
The classes will be held aboard one of our club's sailboats, Velas Blancas, fast and stable sailboats that offer comfortable and easy navigation in all circumstances (Ro Náutica 265).
REQUIRED LEVEL
Once you've mastered basic trimming and rigging skills, you'll be ready to make the most of our outrigger sail course.
RECOMMENDATIONS
It is recommended to wear comfortable and breathable clothing. Choose clothes according to the weather conditions. Wear closed shoes with white soles. (More information in the Frequently Asked Questions )
